Company: Peries IGA
Location: Kingaroy QLD
Job Requirements: Carpark Entrance Bitumen Replacement.
Timeframe: 24 Hours
At Kingaroy, we undertook a challenging carpark entrance replacement project designed to accommodate heavy traffic and improve stability on previously unstable ground. The project was unique due to the incredibly tight timeframe driven by the facility’s busy schedule and constant need for deliveries.
The Challenge:
The timeframe for this job was just one day, and the work had to begin at a very specific window to minimize disruption. We were only able to start excavations after the final delivery of the day at 2:30 pm on Friday. This gave us a narrow window to excavate, prepare, and pour the new surface—all within just four hours by 6:30 pm the same day.
To meet this tight deadline, we utilized a special high early strength concrete, ensuring that the newly replaced carpark entrance would be ready to handle heavy traffic by Monday morning when deliveries resumed.
The Result:
Despite the tight schedule and logistical challenges, we successfully completed the project on time, ensuring minimal disruption to the client’s operations. The new carpark entrance is now ready to handle the demands of heavy traffic, and the customer was extremely satisfied with both the quality of the work and the efficiency of the process.
